1. The city is best viewed from any of the bridges on the Grand Canal during Sunset - I know some will disagree - but i find this spots to be the most romantic. They give you a sweeping view of the city and also present you with the most ideal lighting to capture the image of the city on your camera.

It has been invariably been called; "La Dominante", "Serenissima", "Queen of the Adriatic", "City of Water", "City of Masks", "City of Bridges", "The Floating City", and "City of Canals".
